You are commenting using your Twitter account. Still, it is understandable that he would let his inner feelings show, given the relief he must have felt at his improvement. Even though he had merged with Snake of the Festival, why would he become such a jerk? In both the first and second seasons, Yuuji is depicted as being incredibly, painfully oblivious to not only the feelings of others, but also to his own feelings somewhat.
For what I got out of it Yuuji wanted to create a world for the Crimson denizens so that they could leave our world, and also for some reason have enough power to restore the girl from the first episode of back into reality.
